Manuscript should be written ineither British or American English (but nota mixture of these)

.Reviewer Guidelines

Reviewers are expected to log in to their assigned page on the ejmanager online editorial platform. Reviewers are able to read abstract and access (download) word versions of manuscript accepted for review on the platform. NJBAS encourages reviewers to use word review tracking for in-text observations and comments.

 

Ethics and Guidelines for Peer Reviews

  1. Acceptance to review a manuscript is predicated only on expertise in relevant field
  2. Information, propositions and arguments are based on facts rather than preconceived prejudice
  3. Abstain from extraction, conversion and use in any form, of data or information contained in manuscripts during peer-review process
  4. Avoidance of derogatory and/or inflammatory comments. Style of approach should be objective and criticisms constructive
  5. Race, beliefs and political affiliations play no role during review process except where such is necessitated by study design
  6. Importantly, timely review of manuscripts and decisions presented with clarity to editors and authors is paramount.
  7. Reviewers acknowledge that review process is humanitarian and reciprocal in nature.

 

Reviewers for NJBAS are expected to assess manuscripts on the following:

  1. Original contribution
  2. Suitable title
  3. Clear presentation
  4. Data/statistical concurrence
  5. Adequacy of Figures, Tables, etc in quality and number
  6. Reference to previous work in subject area
  7. Adequate and concise conclusion
